The Climatological Tables give normal values for 0830 hours IST and 1730 hours IST for various meteorological parameters viz. Humidity, wind, cloud, visibility, etc. It also gives a comprehensive account of the climate of a place month wise with extremes in the temperatures and rainfall and annual averages. The present publication is based on data of the 416 stations from all over India for the period 1981-2010. Previous editions of this book i. e. (1931 - 1960), (1951- 1980), (1961 - 1990), (1971 - 2000), (1981 - 2010) are also available
State Climatological Summaries generally contain extensive information on rainfall in various districts of each state in the country based on the available rainfall data for the given period. The Climatological data in respect of temperature, wind, cloud and other weather parameters for the given period are also given. Information relating to droughts, excessive rainfall, depressions and cyclonic storms are also included in these publications. Wind Rose is a method of graphically, representing the occurrence of winds at a location, showing their strength, direction and frequency. This publication providing wind roses of surface winds measured at 0300 UTC and 1200 UTC during 1971-2000 at surface met. Observatories under IMD Network. This publication gives at a glance information of spatial distribution of weather parameters (Height/pressure , temperature and upper winds etc.) over India. It has been updated utilizing upper Air data for the period 1971-2000 and contains analysed charts (0000 UTC & 1200 UTC) on height (gpm), temperature (C) and upper winds for six standard pressure levels 850,700, 500, 300 ,200& 100 hpa for four representative months of the seasons. Besides it contains height pressure of freezing Level. The upper wind pressure charts exhibit streamlines cyclonic and anticyclonic circulation, isotachs and jet streams circulation. This publication is published annually and is available for the years 1967 to 2018. The data used to prepare the summary charts were obtained from two sources (i)
Weather observations recorded by Indian VOF & (ii) Weather observations recorded by other shops while in the Indian
area of responsibility but passed on the other member countries of MCSS. The charts are prepared using Genetic Mapping
Tools. For the presentation of climatological data , a chart with spatial domain bounded between 15S-40N and 20E- 100E
